Nur Syuhada travels from Pasir Gudang
Nur Syuhada had a problem … she has a missing lateral incisor and one of her canines was still a milk tooth!
She had consulted a few dentists to sort out her smile … one even told her that she had to take out 5 … yes, five teeth and then replace them to be able to have her dream smile.
She surfed the internet for a solution and stumbled on this blog. Whew! What a relief!
Nur Syuhada, a receptionist, made the appointment … but as life would have it, she had to cancel the appointment (twice!) but she kept her dream alive and just re-made the appointments until she actually managed to board a bus to Kuala Lumpur today.
She communicated with Amy … she needed directions … so Amy told her which LRT station (the STAR line from Bandar Tasik Selatan) to get on to and which to get off from (STAR Sultan Ismail) and once she reached KL, Amy talked her through each stop (Yay! Amy!!)
It was a good thing that she made it today. I too had a problem of my own … my father had to have a minor operation and I was busy all morning at the hospital, helping him get discharged and settling him comfortably at home, before I could come into the clinic to do her makeover! 😉
So when Syuhada walked in I was all ready to do some magic!
I told her she needed just 6 veneers … 5 on the top and just one below. We could sort it all out in the one visit!
I introduced her to Damalis who had gotten a similar makeover last year in April. I told her not to worry … her teeth wouldn’t look weird or too big at all. Damalis smiled her encouragement.
Syuhada was so excited … as we worked she told me about the other consultations … and how she stumbled on the blog.
I took extra careful time on Syuhada … after all it took her close to 4 hours to get to the clinic … and she was going to jump back onto a bus to go back to Pasir Gudang after the appointment.
Just as we started, Syuhada got a phone call from her friend … she had forgotten to call him to say she had arrived safely in KL … she was that excited to get her makeover done at last! 😉
It didn’t take too long before Syuhada was ready for the magic mirror.
She was so embarrassed to look at her own reflection! She loved it though.
“I look so different! I am so happy!!” she said.
Yes, this is exactly the moments that make my day!
I love doing what I do … I get to make people smile (and sometimes they even cry a little) … I get to see the joy in their eyes when they see their new smile for the first time.
It’s nothing about vanity at all … it’s about getting the self confidence to smile at the world!
I have the best job in the world!!
Thank you Syuhada for trusting me.
Thank you for traveling all that way to allow me to do my magic.
I am honored. 😉
