An awesome smile for an awesome friend: Dr Nabilla
I had a pleasant surprise yesterday. Hidayah, a good friend of mine visited me at Klinik Pergigian Fauziah Publika yesterday. She heard I’d moved back to Kuala Lumpur and decided to drop by to catch up.
We were friends since my third year in dental school (I studied dentistry in University of Malaya). I haven’t seen her for 2 years , hence we have a lot of catching up to do. We’ve only been able to share our ups and downs via Facebook page so I was excited to see her.
A lot has changed since I last saw her, one of which her straightened teeth (she wore braces sometime ago) had rotated back to its original position.
She claims it to have become worst than before braces. Her younger sister even pointed it out that her front teeth is “senget” (not balanced) and is very obvious. Hidayah really wants to do something about it fast because now her confidence to smile has decrease.
“Well dear, if you want it to be straightened out again, there are several options available. One is to put back your brackets and undergo the same process like before (which is to wear braces) OR, you can do a composite veneer”
She’s not keen on wearing braces anymore as it is time consuming and she is afraid that even after another round of braces, the same problem will recur again.
I told her that she wouldn’t regret it if she opt for a makeover with a composite veneer.
True to my words, forty-five minutes later, we were admiring her new smile. She loved it and I was grateful she allowed me to help her gain confidence to smile again.
We had several selfie together, made a promise to see each other soon and more often now that I’m in town.
Thank you Hidayah for making my day, it was a pleasure. I will see you soon !
