The Power of Instagram – Dr ‘Atil Athirah
In the last few years, the use of Instagram by companies has skyrocketed. With millions of users, Instagram has become the perfect opportunity for brands and services to get quick messages and photos across to their target audiences. Instagram has proven to be an effective platform for marketers to reach a new audience in a way the audience wants to be marketed to.
Here at Klinik Pergigian Fauziah, we try our best to inform and educate the public through our Instagram account. It was also through this magical marketing tool that brought together my dear patient Filzah to me.
Filzah contacted us via Direct Messaging through our clinic’s Instagram account, inquiring the price of composite veneers. A brief explanation of the procedure was provided to her. Filzah responded after two weeks and decided to make an appointment for a clearer consultation.
The following morning, we met. Filzah explained that she had an accident back in 2003, resulting in her left central incisor to be non vital and also resulted in slight discoloration. That particular tooth also had shifted in position, which resulted in a big gap between her two central incisors.
Upon further examination, I discovered that root canal treatment was previously performed on the effected tooth, after the incident. However, even after the treatment, that particular tooth and left lateral incisor (neighboring tooth) were found to be still slightly mobile.
Based on my examination, the best treatment option was to remove the two mobile tooth followed by constructing a 6 unit bridge. Unfortunately, Filzah was on a budget and time constraint. I recommended that she proceed with four composite veneers to close the gap and splint the two mobile teeth. This was not the best treatment option, but probably the most suitable given the constraints we had in hand. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile, just until the best is possible.
