5 WAYS TO HAVE YOUR DREAM SMILE IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS : DR. DINI

Yes….you read it right. No botox, no painful serum or collagen injections. Just a simple dental procedure which trust me, you will be flaunting your brand new smile to everyone you meet. :-

1.SCALING AND POLISHING.

What is scaling and polishing you may ask? It is also known as teeth cleansing. Scaling and Polishing involves removing plaque and tartar deposits that have built up on teeth over time. Plaque is a soft, sticky substance that builds up on your teeth. It is mostly made up of bacteria. The bacteria in plaque feed on sugar from food and drink, producing acids as a waste product. The acids attack the teeth by dissolving the minerals in the tooth surface. If this happens too often teeth will decay as a result.

Tartar (also known as calculus and scale) formed by hardened plaque, helps plaque to gather and makes it harder to remove when you brush. And if plaque is allowed to build up, the bacteria in it can cause gum disease, making your gums sore and infected. You can’t remove tartar just by brushing your teeth, but a dentist or hygienist can remove it using special instruments – this is known as scaling.

A good scale and polish is what we all need every six months or so. Regular scaling and polishing by a dentist or hygienist help keep your teeth and gums healthy by making it easier for you to keep your teeth clean at home. You should see and feel the difference.

2. COMPOSITE RESIN FILLING.

A composite filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture used to restore decayed teeth. It comes in many hues and shades of color that dentists can choose from to match the color of the teeth.Composites are also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth. I usually choose composite resin to close any dental gaps on my patients. It is a simple one visit treatment , painless and take less than an hour to complete the treatment.

3. COMPOSITE VENEER.

Composite veneers are layer of resin composite filling material that is applied and sculpted to the surface of the teeth to improve their appearance.Composite veneers are a conservative alternative to porcelain veneers. They are a less invasive way to restore your smile.  If you have worn, chipped or damaged teeth then composite resin can be sculpted directly onto the teeth to produce beautiful results. Composite veneers can  lasts 5-7 years and is much less expensive than porcelain.

4. ZOOM! WHITENING.

Zoom is a bleaching process widely used around the world to lighten discoloration of enamel and dentin. Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine  or from smoking. The aging process also can stain and darken your teeth. The Zoom in-office tooth whitening procedure uses the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp to accelerate the bleaching process – to activate the hydrogen peroxide. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin to bleach the stained substances, leaving the  structure of the tooth unchanged.

5. FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE BRIDGE (FRC).

The FRC Bridge is a minimally invasive and cost-effective way to replace a missing tooth or teeth. Instead of metal, glass fibre strands (or bundles) are used to create a fibre frame . The missing tooth or teeth are tooth-shaped white filling (composite) material. The glass fibre bundles are embedded in the white filling material. The fibre frame is attached to the natural teeth with an adhesive. The bond between composite resin and tooth enamel is the strongest bond possible in the mouth. The strength of the EverStick fibres is as high as that of chrome cobalt cast metal and has the advantage of not being completely rigid, but has similar elasticity to that of dentine. The anchor teeth are undamaged unlike normal bridgework where almost all the enamel of the anchor teeth is removed during the bridge preparation.
