SHARPENING YOUR SAW : DR. DINI

Have you heard of this phrase before? According to Stephen Covey the author of , ‘The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People’  it means preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have–YOU. In other words, having a balanced program for self-renewal in the four areas of your life: physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.

That’s what I did early last month. I sharpened my saw by taking a week off from work and went holiday with my besties. That was my first time taking a long break from work since 8 years working with Klinik Pergigian Fauziah.

So, you guys must be wondering where did I go? I went to Seoul, Korea! Yup, a country I know nothing about except for their famous dish, kimchi that is. I am not a K-pop  nor a Korean drama fan. I once thought that the famous BTS group stands for Behind The Scene! ( I apologized to their huge fan base.) The thing is, I badly needed a holiday to recharge myself, and when my 2 best friends suggested Korea, I just agreed.

We boarded the 7am flight to Seoul on the 2/2/19. It was nearly a 7 hours journey and we arrived at Incheon International Airport at 3.30pm, local time. It was freezing cold, 2 degree celcius to be exact! The four of us rummaged through our luggage for our jackets and gloves to put on. Yup, we wanted a winter holiday and we got it!

We spent the whole one week walking around the city, climbing hills and of course doing what we do best, eating!. I’m sure I gained some weight. Had loads of coffee, hot chocolate and desserts to beat the cold weather.

Here are some photos that I want to share with you.

First, a compulsary wefie of us. 🙂
Coffee break!
Our lovely accomodation in the Hyangdeong Street.
Hanbok, the traditional costume.
The first halal Korean restaurant in Bukchon.

A much needed break after the long climbing to the top of Seoul Tower!
It won’t be a complete trip to Korea if you don’t visit Nami Island.
The famous Changgyeonggung Palace.
My happy and satisfied face!

Now, back to the real world, treating you guys, creating beautiful smiles and of course, being a full time mother to my 3 beautiful daughters. Till then, don’t forget to sharpen your saw too.

Love,

Dr. Dini.
