Replacing dislodged filling : Dr Nik

It was end of May, just a few days before Hari Raya that Mariam visited our clinic in Taman Melawati. It was for an emergency treatment. Her front tooth filling came off and what left was just a tiny part of that tooth!

Remaining tooth structure

The filling was done a year ago at other clinic and it was the second time that the filling of the same tooth came off. It was a big cavity with exposed nerve area and I advised her to do root canal treatment followed by a crown as the permanent restoration. For initial treatment before root canal treatment and crown , I did cosmetic composite filling build up to replace the filling that came off.

Composite build up to restore her smile

It took me almost 45 minutes to build up the tooth and she’s now able to smile widely again. She was so lucky that this happened just before clinic closes for Raya holiday and we were able to help her to restore her smile back for raya.

I really hoped that she had enjoyable wonderful Raya and am looking forward to see her again soon to start on her root canal treatment that was planned after Raya.
