How I Gave Teeth to Someone In Need -Dr Gwen Gan

The most common comment that I heard from parent to their kids is :

” If you don’t behave, Dr will take out your teeth! ”

Em…I always wonder how true is the statement?

Do all dentists like to take out teeth?

Personally, I do not think so, at least not me.

In fact, the trend of dentistry had shifted in a way that most dentists will try their best to preserve your teeth with various methods.

I had a patient came in last Friday requesting me to help.

Looking at the teeth, honestly, I know is not going to be easy.

There wasn’t much teeth structure left which is critical in term of holding filling material strong.

I discussed few options with her as well as the risks and dollars involved before we decided to go ahead with fillings first so that she could smile in the mean time.

We used 1.5 hours to do four fillings for her to restore not only her teeth, but also her smile and of course her confidence.

She could not stop smiling after I handed mirror over to her.

I could not stop nodding my head as I felt like a fairy who made wonders to her.

And I really think that I am someone who give teeth to someone in need but not taking them away.

What do you think?

If you have similar condition and would like to know how I can help you, please do not hesitate to write to me at ganshouwan@story.drfauziah.com or give me a call at 03-6206 3068 to make an appointment.
