A New Year Smile Makeover-Dr Gwen Gan

How many of you had this special feeling about year 2020 like me?

When I was in primary school, Tun Dr Mahathir set a seed in all of our us about Wawasan 2020.

The vision calls for the nation to achieve a self-sufficient industrialised nation by the year 2020, encompasses all aspects of life, from economic prosperity, social well-being, educational worldclass, political stability, as well as psychological balance.

In my imagination, there would be flying cars, everything would be “smart” and we would be living in place like all the sci-fi movies. Everything should be beautiful and perfect.

Well, is now year 2020. We are not as advanced as what I imagined but we are working toward the right direction.

At least, I am contributing in my way towards a beautiful nation.

So, I was helping this young lady to transform her smile.

As you can see from the picture, her front teeth were not healthy and not pleasant when she smiled.

She never showed her teeth when she smiled and she tried to cover her teeth when she spoke so that people would not notice it.

In such a case, she definitely needs to fix her teeth.

Different treatment options were proposed and finally we decided to go ahead with direct restoration as this is the most economic way to fix her problem.

When I handed her mirror at the end of the treatment, she almost broke down as she could not believe that she could have a beautiful smile like anyone else.

Everything is possible, you just need to believe and make your first step and we are there to help.
