A Joyful January : Dr. Dini

Hello readers ! Happy New Year ! ( I hope it’s not too late to wish you that. 🙂 ).

How’s your January so far? I hope it’s treating you well. As for me, all I can say is, it’s a great month..so far January is treating me good. Work wise and personal life too.

Regardless of my hectic schedule at work, I managed to had a great time with my daughters during the Chinese New Year break. We had a staycation at Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and we explored the sights by walking around our beloved city.

What about work? You might ask me that. Well, work is wonderful too. I had a lot of patients that wanted me to create their dream smile. Let me share with you some photos of them.

Fiber Reinforced Composite Bridge

Meet Mr. Ismael. He is a lecturer at International Islamic University. 2 months back I extracted 2 of his lower front teeth that was shaky and put him on denture. After 6 weeks of wearing the denture, he complained to me it was uncomfortable and he didn’t like when food got stuck underneath the denture. He asked me if he can opt to get the Fiber Reinforced Composite Bridge as I suggested earlier Of, course he can!, I said. It took me about 2 hours to complete the treatment and once completed, he was very happy and satisfied with it.

Next, Hidayah. She found us through our website and she was not happy with her small lateral incisors. She also mentioned about the dark appearance (it’s actually a developing hole!) on her central incisors. She really wanted brighter teeth that is also well aligned. I told her I could deliver her wish in less than 2 hours! True to my word, I handed her a mirror at the end of the treatment for her to see her new smile. Her reaction? : Grinning ear to ear and keep thanking me. :-). I, on the other hand, felt so humble, because I could bring so much happiness to someone by doing what I love.

Madam Teresa also found us through website. She was looking for dentist to close the gaps on her lower teeth. Few have suggested her crowning, but she refused to trim her natural teeth, until she saw in our website that we can close the gaps minimally invasive way .It took me nearly 45 minutes to closed the gaps by using composite resin and sculpted it.

And for the last case, Faezah came to our clinic after being referred to us by her sister. She wanted to do root canal treatment for her upper left central incisor. I explained to her the procedure and also the cost of it. She understood every single detail and agreed to my treatment plan. On the final visit, I informed her that I wish to build up her broken tooth and sculpted it like the opposite tooth with a composite veneer. She gave me the green light to proceed with it. In less than 30 minutes, I managed to build up her broken and discolored tooth. When I handed a mirror, all she can say was, ” It doesn’t look like a filling! It looks natural doctor.” ” Thank you so much.” She added.

So, there you go. A well balanced work and personal life so far. Am I happy? Honestly and truly, I am more than happy! I feel blessed and grateful for all I the opportunities and the chance to grow.

Till, next time.

love,

Dr. Dini (dini@story.drfauziah.com)
