What’s your teenage dream? :Dr.Debbie

Miss T, a sweet 13 year old girl, came to the clinic with her parents and requested a consultation regarding her tooth misalignment . She was hesitant to smile because she was unhappy with her upper front tooth that grew slightly out of occlusion. Upon examination, the RIGHT lateral incisor was in reverse overjet /crossbite with her lower tooth. 

          After taking several factors into consideration, we decided to proceed with Upper Removable Appliance (URA) fabrication to correct her anterior cross bite. She was required to wear the appliance at least 20 hours  per day (even when she went to sleep!) and adjustments needed to be done to the URA every 2 weeks. 

Pictures were taken at each review appointment to track the tooth movement progress and act as a tool to motivate miss T to wear the appliance diligently!

Finally after 2 months, this is the result achieved. Looks good doesn’t it ? 🙂

          I’ve  done veneers on her right lateral incisors as well as on the left canine to mimic the shape of lateral incisor (Her left lateral incisor is congenitally missing! )

At last, Miss T is able to smile confidently now! She is happy with the end result and as her dentist, I am glad that I was able to help her to achieve it.
