Stay calm and let us help you: Dr Dini
What would you do if you loss your front tooth a week before a big celebration? Would you panic? Or would you remain calm and just put on your face mask during the celebration? If it was me, I would be the former. I would panic. Fortunately, that is not the case for my patient, Madam Wati. She was calmed and she knew what she wanted.
She contacted me a week before Aidil Adha and inquired about options available to replace her missing canine. I laid out our E&D sheet and began explaining all the treatment options that available for her. Of all the options given, she chose to do the fiber reinforced composite bridge to replace her missing canine.
Once she gave me the green light to proceed the treatment, it took me about 1.5 hours to complete it. From placing the fiber glass strand to sculpting the composite resin to make it look like a natural canine. The last step of the treatment is to polish the build up until it is smooth.
As you can see , the left picture is where I placed the fiber glass strand that attached to the adjacent teeth. Unlike the conventional bridge, no cutting of the adjacent teeth was done. Whereas the right picture showed the final stage of my fiber reinforced composite bridge treatment.
Madam Wati was right not to panic. She knows there’s always a solution to a problem. She definitely was happy with the result.
