Covid-19 still at Large – Dr. Shanaz

Hi everyone, it’s been a very challenging 2020 as all of us were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. As we all know, we’re told to stay at home if we can, minimise contact with people, avoid large crowds and gatherings, keep clean and always…

The MCO Challenges – Dr. Shanaz

The MCO Challenges – Dr. Shanaz

Since our government initiated a MCO on our country, we were constantly reminded to do one thing, and one thing only; Stay at Home! So what can you do? You’ve got so much time, you’re suddenly overwhelmed by it. I think we kinda take it…

The Covid-19 Lockdown – Dr. Shanaz

In light with the government’s extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO) or Restriction of Movement clause for another 2 weeks, our dental services continue to resume. Though as mentioned before and enforced by our councils and Ministry of Health, we’re strictly only treating emergency cases in all of our clinics.

What are dental emergency cases? Here’s a list:

  1. Unbearable tooth pain
  2. Facial swelling
  3. Difficulty in swallowing
  4. Dental abscess
  5. Uncontrolled bleeding in the mouth
  6. Fracture of the tooth, jaw or lacerations of the facial region
  7. Sudden trauma to teeth

Other than the above mentioned, we’d like to defer treatments to once the MCO has been lifted as to minimise contact between patients and to do our best to help flatten the infection curve.

So remember to stay at home, wash hands regularly, shower often, avoid contact with people other than household members, sanitise your frequently used items, and once again stay at home!

I always try to find a silver lining when it comes to tragedies, so maybe take this opportunity to clean up your house, declutter your room, organise your documents/files, spend time with the family at home, learn to cook, backup your hard drives, read that book, or catch-up with Netflix!

Feel free to still contact us though, we’re still open. Our landlines will be operational until 1.30pm Monday – Saturdays and our mobile phone numbers are there for any other emergencies.

Stay safe everyone, and get productive! – Dr. Shanaz
