This is part of the lyrics of the song ‘All of me’ by John Legend that caught my attention especially the last sentence as I was listening to the song. It reminded me of my patient Natalia.
Natalia, somehow looks perfect in her imperfection. Well, I’m a dentist so obviously I’m talking about her teeth and her smile. She has gaps in between her teeth and that bothers her even though I would say that she already looks pretty as it is.
However, like one says beauty is about enhancing what you have and let yourself shine through. In Natalia’s case, maybe closing the gaps is the one thing that she needs to make a difference to herself to be better and be able to shine through.
Since Natalia wanted an instant result and refused to go through the phase of wearing braces, I suggested that she do cosmetic fillings to close the gaps. She agreed with my suggestion and I started off with the upper teeth.
It was quite a straight forward treatment but I did it in two separate visits due to time constraint in my schedule.
At the end of the treatment, Alhamdulillah I was able to give Natalia what she wanted and enhanced the perfect imperfection that she has.
Do smile widely Natalia, because now you have the perfect teeth and perfect smile that you always wanted!
