Recently we welcomed a new dental assistant to our big family, Zara.
She is a sweet little girl who has round eyes and sweet smile.
However, there was something about her that I could not take my eyes off her.
One of her central incisors was fractured.
As a result, she kept trying to hide it with her upper lip when she talked. Whenever she smiled, she would use her hand to cover her mouth.
How sad it was!
On her second day at work, I asked her to sit down to fix her tooth.
It was indeed not an easy and straightforward restoration to do since it was a single tooth restoration.
I had to mimic her adjacent tooth as close as possible. On top of that, she had fluorosis tooth that made the whole process even more challenging.
All we took was about half an hour to fix her tooth.
From then on, I never see her covering her mouth with her hand.
I know that I not only restored her tooth but I restored her smile and restored her confidence level all at once.
I am always glad that my single small action brings impact to someone life.
